Joining the lab

There are many opportunities for talented researchers and scholars in our lab, please read the following and then get in touch if you are interested.

Engineers

We're currently looking for software engineers to participate in the development of Galaxy. Engineers working on the Galaxy project have the opportunity to be involved in cutting edge research in bioinformatics, usability, machine learning, high performance computing, and more.

Postdocs

We currently have multiple openings for creative postdoctoral scholars. Area of academic background and research are flexible, however successful candidates will likely have a research plan related to one of the interests of the lab (broadly regulatory genomics, machine learning and data integration for genomic data, analysis infrastructure and usability).

Graduate Students

We welcome enthusiastic graduate students with computational or experimental backgrounds. You must already have been admitted to a graduate program at Emory. Sensible options are the program in Computational Science and Informatics, or a program under the Graduate Division of Biological and Biomedical Sciences, although other arrangements may be possible.

Undergraduate Students

Exceptional Emory undergraduates interested in performing research in our lab (and willing to commit the time necessary to complete a useful research project) are encouraged to contact us.
